WHO WE ARE
Pieter & Dawn Heres
We are YWAM missionaries, and we have been involved with Cambodia for over 20 years.
​
We see our role as partners, trainers, and supporters. We have partnered with local churches and leaders to pioneer these schools. We have worked to help train teachers from the communities they work in, finding that they truly know how to impact their community best. Our work to support these schools after founding is one of our greatest joys--counseling leaders, providing spiritual support, and accountability.

The loving support of our donors and prayer partners have helped make these schools a reality. Thank you for your love and kindness to the children of Cambodia.
Pieter and Dawn Heres have been serving with Youth With A Mission since 1984.
Right now they are part of the staff of University of the Nations in Kona, where annually over 1000 students are trained for the purpose of the Great Commission.
For 15 years Pieter was director of the IMPACT Center which facilitates strategic missions efforts into Asia and the Pacific Region. He and Dawn are involved in several new initiatives in mercy missions including the YWAM Children at Risk Network.
Dawn is also part of the International Christian School where YWAM staff children from many different nations are educated.
